Dragonflies are colourful insects, they are known as "winged jewels". All of their life stages (egg, larva and adult) are closely related to water, wetlands are good places to meet them. Hong Kong has a rich diversity of dragonflies, more then one-third of them (40 species) have been recorded in Hong Kong Wetland Park.
Spring and Summer are peak seasons that many dragonflies emerged. Starting from July, Hong Kong Wetland Park launched the "Meeting the Odonates" Guided Tour, it introduces dragonflies which are commonly found in the Hong Kong Wetland Park, as well as their habitats and life cycles. Let¡¦s come and join us to appreciate and cherish this extraordinary insect.
