"Summer Park Adventures 2008"

--- Visit Hong Kong Wetland Park this summer to learn more on wetland ecosystem, and for fun.

Our Wetland Interpreters lead interactive wetland park experience tours for groups of up to 45 participants. Birds, dragonflies, butterflies and insects would be observed through exploring different types of wetlands. Participants can also learn about the adaptive features of mangrove plants and the intertidal animals that live in their unique wetland environments.

Through the guided visit, participants will have a chance to take a closer look to wildlife, understand the relationships between human and wetlands, and in turn, take up their roles on wetland conservation in their daily life. Please CLICK HERE for details.

We welcome group applications from schools, education institutes and non-profit making / charity organisations*. Sessions are held on Monday, Wednesday to Friday, from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 (except Public Holidays) from 14 July to 31 August.

Application period: 3 months to 2 weeks prior to the date of visit. It will be at a first come, first served basis. For example: to join the programme on 18 July 2008, the application period is from 19 April 2008 to 4 July 2008.

Application method: On-line booking service for 2009 Summer Park Adventure will be available in mid-April.

Note:

  1. *After confirmation or approval of the application, non-profit organizations need to provide copies of supporting documents (e.g. organisation registration or supporting document from Inland Revenue Department, etc.).
  2. New application is required for any changes of the date and time of visit, the number of visitors and the arrangement of the visit.
  3. Hong Kong Wetland Park (HKWP) reserves the right to decide whether to approve an application. The approval of applications subjects to the applicantˇ¦s compliance with the application criteria. If the applicant fails to observe this condition or any information provided by the applicant is found to be untrue, HKWP reserves the right to withdraw the approval.
