Encounter Pond Life

Pond is a kind of wetlands. It is an enclosed water body and it can be natural or man-made. When you visit a pond, you can discover various types of creatures in different stratification of the water body. Dragonflies and damselflies are flying above water while water skaters and backswimmers are gliding or swimming on water surface. Fishes and tadpoles are swimming in water while larvae of dragonflies and damselflies are found near the water edge. Juvenile frogs with newly developed legs are heading for land at the water edge. Frogs are calling on land in the evening. In this activity, you can learn more about the close relationship between water, plants and animals.
