Notes to Applicants

  1. Individual Online Booking only applies to booking of 1-9 tickets in total. For 10 or more tickets, please refer to Group Booking.

  2. Individual Online Booking is only available between 1 week and 3 months prior to the scheduled date of visit.

  3. All bookings will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis. The result of booking will be notified by e-mail or by fax to the contact person of the application within 3 working days after receiving the application.

  4. Upon acceptance of booking, applicants could settle payment and collect tickets at Ticket Office on the day of visit.
    (Note: Applicants could settle payment by cash, EPS or Octopus Card)

  5. Once booking is confirmed, no alteration or refund will be entertained.

  6. Failure to provide sufficient and accurate data may affect the processing time and the outcome of your application.

  7. The opening hours of HKWP is given below:
    Mondays, Wednesdays to Sundays: 10:00am to 5:00pm
    (Ticket Office opens from 9:30am to 4:00pm.)
    Tuesdays (except Public Holidays): Closed.

  8. HKWP reserves the right to approve/reject any application.

  9. Admission does not include guided tour service.

  10. Applicants who fail to collect tickets on the visit day without prior notice would affect their chance of success in future application.

  11. Arrangements Under Inclement Weather Conditions

    1. Typhoon Signal No.8 or above: The HKWP will be closed. It will be opened 2 hours after the signal is lowered. The HKWP will remain closed if the signal is lowered less than 2 hours before closing hour of the Park.

    2. Black Rainstorm Warning:


      1. If the warning is issued before the opening hour, the HKWP will be closed. It will be reopened 2 hours after the warning is cancelled. If the signal is lowered less than 2 hours before the closing hour, the HKWP will remain closed that day.

      2. If the warning is issued during the opening hours, the Visitor Centre will remain open until Park's closing hour or the condition is safe for visitors to leave the Park.

    3. If Red Rainstorm Warning is issued during the opening hours of the Park, the Visitor Centre will remain open, but the outdoor Wetland Reserve will be closed. All education activities and guided tours held in the Wetland Reserve will be cancelled while other indoor activities will continue as usual. The Reserve Area will be reopened after the Red Rainstorm Warning is lowered.

    4. If the booked tickets cannot be collected due to closure of park, refund can be arranged by writing to the Ticketing Unit of HKWP. However, no refund will be entertained if the park is open or the tickets have been collected at any point of the day.

Applicants could request for access to and correction of their personal data provided in the application form in accordance with Section 18, 22 and Principle 6 of Schedule 1 to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.
