Inter-school Birdwatching Network
Hong Kong Wetland Park of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, Hong Kong Bird Watching Society, and Division of Ecology and Biodiversity of The University of Hong Kong jointly organises the "Inter-school Bird-watching Network" in the academic year 2009/10.
 
The aim of the "Inter-school Bird-watching Network" ('the Programme') is to promote bird-watching among schools and to encourage establishment of bird-watching clubs. The organisers holds scheduled bird-watching training sessions on topics including bird identification at different habitats (urban area, wetland, woodland, open area), Bird Race and workshops. In addition, students can also apply knowledge gained from the Programme by conducting field surveys or participating in project-based studies. Participating schools will also earn learning credits by taking part in the activities to redeem teaching aids and equipment such as guidebooks and binoculars as rewards. Details of the Programme are as follow:

Target: Secondary school students and teachers
Date: 10 October 2009 to 31 May 2010 (designated weekends)
Venue: Hong Kong Wetland Park or other designated locations
Content: Schools are required to take part in scheduled activities (including 4 compulsory activities) and to complete a project study. The result of the project study will be presented in poster and PowerPoint formats on 22 May 2010.
Language: Cantonese (with brief translation in English)
Rewards*: Schools and students completed the project study will be awarded trophies and certificates respectively.

10 credits can redeem 3 bird guidebooks and 3 binoculars
15 credits can redeem 3 bird guidebooks, 3 binoculars and $1,000 book coupons.
Note : *Numbers of reward are limited, it is arranged at a first-come, first served basis.
